IMPORTANT EVENTS IN PHOTOGRAPHY

At first, everything in the photography world was black and white. However, in 1861 the first color photo was created which changed photography forever. People could now set up their pictures in different ways. Color schemes and mood colors would now actually be seen.
1877- First Action Photo
This changed how people could use cameras. IN MOTION photos were now taken. This, again, just builds on what you can do with photography.
1888- Simplified camera suitable for the general public (Kodak Number 1)
Everyday people could now buy a camera and take pictures. It was much more reasonable for the everyday person to be able to do this.

A new type of camera was created. Kodak kept making these until just a few years ago.

1975- First digital camera invented (AKA the year film photography died)
1975 was when the real death of film photography was. In this year, the digital camera was created. People no longer had to go through the whole dark room process. They could just pull out their camera take a picture and be done. It made photography a lot easier.
1990- Adobe Photoshop released
People no longer needed the dark room for any reason. Any imperfections they wanted to be fixed could easily be done on photoshop. For example, if the lighting was off in the picture then they could just fix it right on photoshop.
2000- First camera phone
The inventions kept making it easier and easier to take photos. Now, people did not even need to carry a camera around with them if they wanted to take pictures. They could just pull up their phone and take a quick picture. It literally took minutes to do and was theirs forever.
